PREFACE |

A very interesting inter sectional meeting
to deal with transcultural and religious issues
related to Psychiatry ("Religion, Spirituality and Mental Health") will be
held at the Greek Orthodox Monastery of St. Catherine at Mount Sinai. Some of
us had the opportunity to visit this Monastery on the occasion of the WPA
meeting at Sharm El Sheikh in January this year and
we met Archbishop Damianos at St. Catherine's who
provisionally accepted our proposal for a scientific meeting there. Following
this, Tarek Okasha and
Tarek Gawad took the initiative to follow up
this idea and their proposal was accepted by the EC in its recent meeting in
