Research Projects

§2003-ff I have been involved as a principal investigator of "Assimbir Project" for the identification of gifted and talented children in the Sudan" 

§2002-ff, I have been involved as a principal investigator in a research project regarding adaptation of the Third Revision of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children in the Sudan

§1996-2000 I was involved as a principal investigator in a research project regarding the adaptation of WAIS-R and WISC-111 in Bahrain. The project was funded by the University of Bahrain. In this project a group of 1018 children participants were tested with WISC-111 and 985 adults with WAIS-R.

§1986-1987 I was involved in a research project regarding the adaptation of IQ test in the Sudan. This was a joint project with Dr. Al-Zubair Taha and Prof. A. Abdel Magid. In this project a group of 801 participants were tested.

 

Discoveries

(1) 2000 I have discovered the FIRST experiment in the history of applied psychology dated back to the 11th century described by Ibn-Haytham in “The book  of optics“. The first experiment in Germany was described in 1879.   

(2) 2003 I have identified the FIRST child prodigy (8 years) in astronomy in the world. In the West child prodigies were identified in music, chess, mathematics, arts, mechanics and writing.

(3) 2005 I have identified the FIRST child prodigy (4) in Geo- Informatics System in the world. The first child prodigy in cartography was identified in Germany more than 30 years ago.

General Interests

I enjoy documentation, attending debate and discussion groups, watching documentaries on TV, films, visual arts, and listening to mystic songs and funeral music. I enjoy traveling having visited Egypt, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Syria, India, Sweden, Turkey, Greece, Britain, France, Germany, China, Japan, Thailand and the USA.

§1999 I was cited in "Who's Who in the World-19th Edition". (Marquis, USA).

§1999 I obtained the Distinction Prize for Research, University of Bahrain, Bahrain

§1997 I obtained the Psychology Prize of young Arab researcher from Abdel Hamid Shoman Foundation (Jordan).

§1993  I obtained an international prize awarded by the International Sociological Association for one of the best three essays in a world-wide competition (Germany).

§1994  I obtained the first prize for an essay in Oxford awarded by the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Oxford Academy for Advanced Studies (UK)

§1994-1995 I obtained two awards for research and conferences from Gordon Memorial College Trust Fund, London (UK).  

§1985 I obtained the first prize in research competition organized by the High Council of Youth and Sports (Egypt).
