q       Notes For Contribution

    The Egyptian Journal of Psychiatry accepts all original work in the Field provided that the subject matter has not been, and will not be, published elsewhere except by permission. Publications may be accepted in Arabic, English or French languages.

Manuscripts are to bc typewritten with double spacing on one side of the paper and three copies provided.

An abstract should be given at the beginning of the article and should not exceed 120 words. lt should be translated into the other two languages and the translation put at the end of the paper. If not included, this means that the author accepts the editorial translation.

References should be arranged alphabetically at the end of the paper. Articles in Journals should follow the order given below.

1. Author's name, followed by initials.

2. Year of publication in brackets.

3. The title of the article in full.

4. The title of the Journal ( underlined since it is going to be printed in italic). Common abbreviations are accepted.

5. The volume number underlined twice.

6. The last as well as the first page.

    In the text, references are to be given in brackets followed by the year of publication ( or if the author's name comes as a part of the statement the year should follow in brackets), e.g. (Askar, 1973) or Askar (1 973) stated that etc.... if the same author has two publications ( or more) in the same year, identifying letters should be provided, e.g. (Arieti, 1955a) and (Arieti, 1955b) etc....

For books the order should be as follows:

1. Author's name, followed by the year of publication.

2. Title of the book ( underlined).

3. Town.

4.  Publishers.

Chapters in Books should be treated in the same way as articles in Journals. Tables, figures and photographs should be provided on separate sheets.

Copy editing and editorial changes are approved by the author(s) unless he puts down his condition on this subject.
